The Girl in the Attic

Evelyn didn't know what she heard, but she knew one thing for sure... she was alone. Her parents were away for the weekend at the Cape, and her brother was staying at a friend's house. She was very rationale for a teenager, but what she heard sounded a lot like a child laughing and playing. This sound came from the attic above her. Should she go up to investigate? Or was this just her imagination taking her on a wild ride? One thing was for certain; she'd never be able to rest until she knew for sure.
She picked number one, go an investigate. But there was one little problem. She didnt know how to get to the attic. So she started looking in the garage. But the only things in there were there bikes, her brothers toys, and her dads dirt bike. She looked in her room her, brothers room, and the bathroom. But there was no door. The only room left to check was her parents room. It had to be in there if it wasnt then she had no idea where to look.(Maddie G.)
